Chief Clinical Officer, CCO
Britten brings her knowledge of change management, public policy, and business analytics to healthcare. Committed to lifelong learning, Britten completed a Master’s of Science in Addiction Counseling, then attaining her Licensed Advanced Drug and Alcohol Counselor credential. Britten is certified by the NAADAC as a Master Addiction Counselor and by the Department of Transportation, as a Substance Abuse Professional.
Translating D’Amore, Italian for of love, Britten is passionate to see patients reckon with their dignity and worth. “Healthcare is complicated, requiring several linkages between patient history and patient goals. We keep it personal.” Although she loves her work, she makes time to relax at the yoga or barre studio.
Chief Marketing Officer, CMO
Born and raised in Orange County, Devin brings a strong sales and business development background to the D’Amore Team. His experience, successfully building relationships in both the software and investor services industry have shaped a marketing professional.
Devin understands the values of hard work and respect. Esteemed for his customer centric solutions and genuineness, Devin is now free to pursue his dream, promoting recovery and healing. While it is Devin’s hope that every patient’s time spent at D’Amore will build a lasting foundation for happiness; life, a few steps beyond their imagination.
As CMO, Devin integrates his talents, helping doctors, interventionists, parents, educators, and spouses engage D’Amore’s mental health care and addiction services.

Chief Financial Officer, CFO
Graduating San Diego State University with a Bachelor’s of Science in Accounting, John has accumulated a balance of experience in community non-profit and for-profit businesses. In the first 20 years of his career, John directed $18 million in growth or acquisitions. Today, bringing D’Amore financial and operational dexterity, John ensures D’Amore’s ethical fiduciary practices. But, John is quick to override a professional engagement to participate in the recovery ministry at his church or, to hang out with his sons, Ryan (21 years old) and Kyle (17 years old). John enjoys the benefits of a sober life, such as item #3 on his bucket list: travel to all 30 Major League Baseball Stadiums.
John is D’Amore’s watchman and shield. As a result, he anchors each strategic decision to common sense and optimum long-term outcomes.
Originally from Chicago, Rick fell in love with California while serving in the United States Marine Corps. After his service, he moved back to Chicago until 1978. When Rick relocated to Costa Mesa, California and eventually to Huntington Beach, California. Early in his career, Rick worked as a counselor at Phoenix House. Quickly, he enjoyed the rigor of social services. Although, his success took him in different directions, Rick knew he would work in recovery services again for two reasons: one, he loved it and two, he was determined to give back. In 1986, Rick’s life took a dramatic turn for the good when his recovery began. His plan to pay it forward was underway.
In 1995, Rick married his lovely bride, Vicki. They are the proud parents of two beautiful daughters, Nicole who attends college in San Luis Obispo and Noelle, studying in Santa Barbara. After years of labor and success, Rick sold his company in 2012, beginning his new journey: looking for the perfect team. In Rick’s words, “it has taken me 3 years. But, I have found the best three people to create the best in recovery.”
